Mari was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. Mari graduated with a Bachelor degree in Japanese linguistics before migrating to Australia in 2007. Mari began her career as a graphic designer in 2009, and has been working professionally ever since. Over the past few years, she's worked on a range of cross-cultural design and art projects, including her study at 2018 Master of Art degree at the University of New South Wales, in Australia.
大阪生まれ。関西学院大学で文学部日本語学を専攻し卒業後、オーストラリアに渡る。2009年、シドニーでグラフィックデザインを学び、印刷からWeb媒体まで、様々な分野のデザインに従事。オーストラリアのニューサウスウェールズ大学大学院（アート専攻）を卒業後、自身の経験を元に国際交流をテーマとしたデザイン・アートプロジェクトに興味を示す。
